Version 1.11.11

New service building: Prison

  • Placing a Prison in the city can reduce significantly the cost of inmate housing (From $47,000 per inmate/year to $35,000 inmate/year)
  • The building will face strong opposition from the public (Disapproval aura), but has zero side-effects when placed very far from residential areas.
  • The prison has capacity for a population of 1000. When it reaches capacity, criminals will fall back to the higher costing out-of-jurisdiction housing.
  • In the city budget now there are two separate line items for local and out-of-jurisdiction inmate housing, so you can see the cost of each and how much you are saving by building a prison.
